Food and Drink in Hong Kong- It's every where! And so it should be! It is among some of the best in the world. So fill your boots, go crazy, get  fat, get drunk and fall in love with Hong Kong's Food & Beverage scene.

I've got to warn you though, there's a hell of a lot of options, and they change pretty rapidly. But I've got'cha. Here's the best of the best, you can forget the rest ( well not really, as even I can't try every single restaurant in town, but you know what I mean.) My recommendations:

Best For Meat Eaters

La Vache!

48 Peel Street, Central

There's only one thing on the menu and that's STEAK. Undoubtedly the best in town. Juicy, thick and flavoursome. Served with fries and 'special house sauce' it really is the ultimate steakhouse.

Crafty Cow

Ok, I am obsessed with this place. And that’s a big thing coming from me, only having taken back up eating meat a few months ago. My former vegetarian self would be holding her head in shame. Two words: CORN DOGS. And not just any corn dogs: CHUBBY CORN DOGS aka pork sausage, corn meal, smokey ketchup, pale ale mustard and sambal mayo.

Best Dim Sum

Dim Sum Square

G/F., Fu Fai Commercial Centre, 27 Hillier Street, Sheung Wan

Fresh, delicious Dim sum awaits (If you are prepared to que at lunch, it's popular for a reason)

All the classics plus more, a great place to take visiting friends, or if you are in Hong Kong for the first time. Thier BBQ Pork buns are THE BEST. Go after 2pm to avoid the rush!

Best Burgers

Butchers Club

Central, Wan Chai, TST

Oh hell yeah, now these are the bomb! Hands down the best burgers in town. Big fat juicy beef, dripping cheese and ohh those duck fat fries (drolls) Just go, stop reading and go

Burger Circus

 22 Hollywood Rd, Hong Kong

There's hot competition but I find myself going back to Burger Circus  when the lunch burger craving hits. The Beef patties are perfectly cooked and served in retro burger packaging. You can choose your sides, and even have a bun-less burger if you are feeling healthy (Although I advise you not to feel healthy that day) It is also the most reasonable priced Burger joint in HK. Try their milk shakes too. Oh, and on weekends they are open 24 hours! SCORE!

 Best French Resturants

Upper Modern Bistro

6-14 Upper Station St, Sheung Wan

Yes, you can find good cheese in HK, god damn GOOD cheese. And it's all hiding at Upper Modern Bistro. Yet, I don't want to do the rest of the food dis-justice. Their menu is exquisite from beginning to end. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Cocotte

9 Shin Hing St, Central

HK does love a good French Resturant- and this one has it all. Cool relaxed vibe, seriously tasty food and rocking drinks. I'm all about their desserts though- this chocolate ball surprise is everything you would hope it would be.

EPURE

Shop 403, Level 4, Ocean Centre, Harbour City, TST

This fine-dining French restaurant is the nearest to perfection it could possibly be. Chef Nicolas Boutin knows his stuff – and he is yet to disappoint. Expect the best oysters you have ever had, tender meat and home-smoked salmon among some of the dishes that will blow your mind!

Best Casual Dinner Spot

22 Ships

 22 Ship St, Wan chai.

This tapas bar in Wan Chai owned by Jason Atherton is the perfect place for a casual dinner. A great menu packed full of flavoursome tapas dishes and simple sides. The atmosphere is what makes it for me. Cool seating, open kitchen and good music.

Best Sea Food

SHOKU

G/F, Shop 109, Beachfront, The Pulse, 28 Beach Road, Repulse Bay

Centered around a flaming grill to cook the freshly caught fish on, diners enjoy a relaxed open air experience in the main restaurant, while others can get more of an intimate experience in private rooms. Every Thursday from 7:30pm there is live beachside jazz to accompany your new favorite cocktail ‘Glittery Sun’  (a cocktail made with gold!) as well as during brunch on Sundays from 1pm

Best Mexican

Little Burro

3 locations:

.125 Leighton Rd, Hong Kong Causeway Bay.

.30 Hollywood Road, Soho

.1 Upper Station Street Sheung Wan

The best damn Mexican in town!! Over flowing ingredients burst out of their burritos and tacos making it impossible not to want extra Guac. Great value for money and always running promotions, Little Burro has become more than just a restaurant and is now a place to hang out and have a beer with friends. Look out for their street parties and events popping up all over Hong Kong. You'd be pushed to know someone that doesn't eat here.

Best Dessert

Oodies Foodies

149 Wan Chai Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

I mean just look at those! Your daily calories in a cup, but SO worth it. Think traditional egg waffles with custard, ice cream, chocolate sauce and honeycomb.
